Annual Awards

Aim of the awards
Our annual awards seek to reward outstanding contributions to biology of ageing research by BSRA members. Awards are presented for research free communication and posters.

Award criteria
1. The applicant must be the presenting, and thus first named, author of the abstract.
2. The applicant must be a member of the BSRA.
3. Awards will be given for excellence, reflected in the academic content, presentation and defence quality of the free communication or poster presentation.
4. The Awards Panel’s decision is final in all cases.
5. The closing date is the deadline for abstract submission.
6. These awards will not be made in the absence of submissions of sufficient merit.

Korenchevsky Prize

Awarded each year to the best early career researcher (ECR) elevated oral presentation at our annual scientific meeting, as decided by the Board of Trustees.  

Prize: Funded Attendance to The American Aging Association (AGE) (americanagingassociation.org) meeting to present their work.

 

Poster Presentation Award

Awarded each year to the best poster presentation at our annual scientific meeting, as decided by the Board of Trustees. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are awarded. 

Prize: £150 (for first place) and £75 (for second and third place)
