We’re excited to confirm the official partnership between The British Society for Research on Ageing
(BSRA) and The American Aging Association (americanagingassociation.org). The American Aging Association (AGE) was launched in 1970 and organized by a group of distinguished medical doctors and scientists who wanted a specific organization dedicated to aging research and, like the BSRA, fosters the scientific and professional career development of its members through scientific meetings, networking, and mentorship, committed to improving our understanding of ageing.
The partnership reflects a long-standing relationship between the two societies. For many years, the BSRA have awarded the Korenchevsky prize to the early career researcher with the best elevated talk at the BSRA ASM. This award funds the winner to attend and present their work at the following AGE annual meeting. Previous winners have gone on to become successful group leaders, such current SAB member Dr Jennifer Tullet.
A reciprocal award is presented the best speaker at the US AGE meeting, with the winner presenting
their work at BSRA’s Annual Scientific Meeting.
As part of our partnership, members of each Society are offered discounted membership rates for events at the partner Society (please contact info@bsra.org.uk for more info).
