Six for 2026 Fundraising Campaign

The BSRA is proud to have been supporting scientists working in ageing research for generations. Every year we award small grants ranging from £500 to £3000 to young and promising researchers (see previous winners). At a time when resources in academia are scarce, these can be invaluable. Awardees are given the opportunity to share their research, learn from other teams, or develop relationships that lead to future collaborations.

This December, the BSRA is pleased to launch our Six for 2026 fundraising campaign. We want to directly impact the career of 18 talented researchers in 2026 by funding six travel grants of £500, six summer studentships of £2000 and six small research grants of £3000.

We believe that breakthroughs in ageing research will transform the health of our society. They mean preventing disease rather than treating it. Increasing the number of healthy years and reducing the years of ill health at the end of life.

To achieve this, we need to support the scientists who can make it happen. Please help in any way you can, either by directly contributing yourself or by spreading the word. Do you know a company that could sponsor one of our awards? A sports club or gym? A church or community group?

Every small donation counts, and all of it will go directly to a talented researcher in ageing research. We collect money via the Charities Aid Foundation, so please donate here. With your help, we’ll be supporting the science that can help everyone live a healthier life for longer.

Thank you!
